After correctly IDing the need for Michael and Jen of Top Chef to knock boots, Andrew Zimmern gently takes Manny’s the woodshed, giving their steak a grudging “8 out of 10,” panning the sides, and knocking dessert: “Shockingly, the key lime pie tasted like a jello mix from a box.” At $100 a plate, “they need to tighten up a tad.”

Help me here – why do we care what Zimmern’s opinion is?
I’ve ripped Zimmern as much as anyone. But it has nothing to do with his qualificaions to opine on food. His opinion matters because he’s MN based and has a nationally syndicated TV Show. What are your credentials?
