The Minnesota State Fair: So It Begins

The Heavy Table is launching a full-on, multimedia, gastronomic assault on the Great Minnesota Get-Together. Check back with our team for frequent updates as we eat our way through the Fair.

On Foursquare: Heavy Table will be hitting up as many of the State Fair’s various stands and pavillions as is humanly possible, culling the best of the eats and transforming them into Foursquare tips. Check us out and join our rapidly expanding stable of local friends.

On Twitter: We’ll be tweeting out comic observations, tasting notes, best values, worst values, and other assorted scraps of information and miscellany throughout the Fair. Follow us and mention @heavytable with any tips you find that might help our readers enjoy the Fair and we’ll retweet — we’re looking for food tips (and cautionary tales) specifically.

On Flickr: We’ll have photographers uploading food-related goodies to our group photo pool on Flickr. We encourage all you Flickr folk to join the party and put your best food and drink shots in the pool.

On the Web: We’ll be putting up a map and other content at heavytable.com that sums up our collective wisdom on the unfolding food mayhem. Always feel free to shoot us a note with any tips: editor@heavytable.com.
