On behalf of the vast majority of Persian/Afghan/Central Asian folks in the Twin Cities, Khyber Pass is mediocre on its best day. That’s why you don see us going there. It’s aimed at Minnesotans who want to feel exotic but are too inexperienced to realize its awful. I used to recommend Caspian as an alternative, but they’ve also started to lose their touch over the years.
Still, hearing someone talk fondly about Khyber Pass is like hearing someone talk about how high quality the sushi is at Lunds or Tiger Sushi.
