Esme Murphy of WCCO piled on Burger Jones last night via Twitter, declaring: “Wow Burger Jones really slow service — tons of empty tables — but we are told the kitchen can’t handle it !” Burgers — the quintessential fast food — should be relatively easy to crank out, but a new staff (plus an ambitious menu laden with shakes and fancy cheese curd baskets) may be gumming up the works.

I went in their last Thursday night around 8:30 and the place was packed, I was going to just grab a burger to go. I put my order in and then the hostess says, “that’ll be like 30-35 min”, are you kidding me? You should love take out orders and should be able to fit them in and pump them out quick. They take so little of your resources. Needless to say I told her to scratch that order and walked out. From all I’ve heard about this place, with service, price, overall food quality, etc. I really don’t think I’m going to get to try it out anytime soon.
