Today marks the debut of issue #2 of Hearten Magazine, published by the locally based Independent Wedding Association and edited by Heavy Table photographer Becca Dilley. It’s lushly illustrated, and on the local food front, it features dishes including a berries and champagne cake by Sweets Bakeshop and peach aquavit gelee by Chowgirls Killer Catering.
MoreSweets Bakeshop co-founder Krista Steinbach has joined the staff of The Bachelor Farmer, taking the position of pastry chef. She’ll be tasked with updating the restaurant’s dessert menu. As per the restaurant’s press release: “Her first creation, a pear tarte Tatin with whipped crème fraiche and pear caramel, made its debut over the weekend.”
