Gardening Matters and the Midtown Farmers Market are hosting a two-part film event called “Celebrating Local Food, Creating Permanent Community Spaces.” “The Garden” will be shown Sept. 9 and “Food Fight” will be screened on Sept. 16. Both films start at 7pm, at The Riverview Theater (3800 42nd Ave S, Minneapolis). $10 at the door, no advance sales. Doors open at 6:30pm.
