Power outages are a theme across the city — most restaurants are sharing status updates on social media to encourage people to power their phones (or warn that they’re closed). After years of debate (and the subsequent ban) in California, foie gras protests have hit Minnesota: Organizers touted a Saturday protest at 112 Eatery (their tagliatelle with foie gras meatballs is pictured above) as the “first official move for the [presumably ongoing] campaign.” Fans of long-closed “Peruvian charcoal-roasted chicken joint” Rotisseria can rejoice; owner Saleh Hamshari is back in action selling sauce at the Minneapolis Farmers Market. And Surly opened a temporary tap room in Brooklyn Park on Friday (hours shown here), while Victoria-based Enki Brewing opened its doors on Saturday.
