Tom “Goose” Gilbert of Amherst, Massachusetts, the army reservist and combat medic known as the “Green Beret of Grub” by the Association of Independent Competitive Eaters, is in Minnesota. His mission: to devour a 30-inch pizza at Oakdale’s Randy’s Premier Pizza in 30 minutes or less. If he wins, he takes home a $1,000 prize. If he loses, he buys the $78 pizza. The action starts at 7:30pm and if you’re not making the trip to Oakdale you can watch it online.
