A fairly amazing-sounding Better Beer Society brown bag series event at Butcher & the Boar, some revised menus at local restaurants, a local foodie’s epic Mother’s Day feast, tasting notes for Summit Pilsner and Steel Toe’s Provider, the Star Tribune’s Taste 50, and a new urban farm in Minneapolis.
The interior of L’Ecosse (at Chicago Ave. and 48th St.) is all torn up and this ominous sign (“Boarded by Castrejon – Owners for questions concerning the boarding please call the above number”) was posted on the boarded-up door. Metromix also lists it as closed, so it certainly appears that we’re down from one somewhat confusing Scotch-French fusion eatery to zero.
