A year and a half ago, we blind tasted an array of local bagels and came to the shameful but inescapable conclusion that Bruegger’s is the best in the area. Today, TC Jewfolk takes a stab at precisely the same question … and although other results varied pretty widely, the site’s panel of tasters came up with the same #1 result, Bruegger’s with a bullet. Question: If legitimately good local bagels were produced by a new artisan bagel company, would anybody notice or care? Or would they be the hottest thing this side of craft cocktails?
