In honor of Somali Independence Day, Midtown Global Market’s Safari Express will produce a celebration on Saturday, June 27 starting at 11 am in the Market’s Central Plaza. Visitors can expect a Somali fashion show, authentic cooking demonstrations, children’s activities, and live traditional music.

Midtown Global Market hosts the inaugural Global Bake-Off tomorrow from noon-2pm. Visitors will judge desserts from Andy’s Garage, Café Finspang, Holy Land Grocery and Deli, Manny’s Tortas, Pham’s Deli, The Produce Exchange, Salty Tart, and more — a $3 donation benefits Hope for the City‘s “Lunch Box for Kids” program.
