A special seven-course midday meal built around a La Quercia acorn-fed pig will take place Sunday, Apr. 19 at 12:30pm at Broders’, celebrating the restaurant’s 15th anniversary. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Slow Food Minnesota. The meal is $65 ($25 tax deductible); a wine flight is $40 ($10 tax deductible). Wow, I can’t believe Broders has been open for 15 years. I used to get pizza from the Deli growing up, and was annoyed when they opened the larger pasta bar, thinking that it would ruin a great small neighborhood place. 14 years later I finally actually went to the pasta bar and absolutely loved it, crushing my for no good reason dislike of the place. Congrats to them!
