The latest from Twitter: @Peace_Coffee plays cupid with “Caffeinate Your Cutie,” @triplerockmpls is serving @surlybrewing Mild at $3.50 a pint, @bittercube celebrates the long-anticipated opening of Eat Street Social, and @Masu_NE will feature a suggestive little Valentine’s Day roll through Tuesday.
Today starts Coffee News Cafe and Vine Park Brewing Company’s “tasting trials” where, using Instant Runoff Voting (IRV), patrons vote for their favorite items. At Coffee News Cafe, they’re testing new omelets — and the winner stays on the menu. At Vine Park Brewing, they’re testing brews. Voting ends in a couple weeks, then other St. Paul restaurants and bars will begin tasting trials. It’s a tasty way to practice IRV voting, which is how Minneapolis residents will vote on election day. St. Paul residents vote on whether or not to implement IRV on Nov. 3.
