The latest from Twitter: @BlueOxCoffeeCompany plugs their peppermint mocha garnished with a Thin Mint from the Girl Scouts (it’s that time of year!), @ngonbistro announces their Valentine’s Day tasting menu, @RogueChocolate marvels that every one of their bars is hand-inspected by the founder himself, and @france44 is serving a decadent-sounding fig salami with blue cheese.
Star Tribune’s Chris Riemenschneider writes that Trocaderos near Minneapolis’ Warehouse District is now closed. He cites a note buried on their website as well as on their front door. Calls for comment from Trocaderos weren’t answered.

Well… sorry to speak ill of the dead, but they were terrible… really, really terrible. I went with a friend (Major Brand Representative sponsoring the show) ) on my last visit there to see a friend perform, and not only could we not get a table or a drink, but apparently nobody cared. Service– even poor service– is a necessary part of a venue’s function.
Kind of an interesting space, though. I hope someone can make a better go with it!
