No-mayo potato salad, grass-fed mini burgers, crunchy swai with basil-goat cheese potato puree, curried pea soup, pickled rhubarb (etc.), white bean ragout, Italian sausage grill with gnocchi, leftover oatmeal pancakes, and cheddar chive buttermilk biscuits with extra creamy scrambled eggs.
Apparently, even romance is taking on a new form for the recession: “Lights Out Mondays” are now a thing at Carbone’s Pizza on Randolph (1698 Randolph Ave.) The candles twinkle magically, the wine costs $15 a bottle, and the dinner special changes weekly.









Bizarre. I’m going to have to try this though, of course.
