On Astroturfing

Bill Roehl addresses, at length, something we’ve often thought about: How to spot and deal with “astroturf,” supposedly grass-roots comments that actually come from people with a vested business interest in seeing a particular restaurant succeed (or, sometimes, fail). Here’s a thought we can all probably get behind: “Being upfront and honest about who you are and who you represent is the right thing to do.” Roehl’s post also includes some LOL-worthy examples of astroturfing in action, which is a nice bonus.
