  The Linden Hills Co-op is preparing to celebrate its upcoming move with a Mardi Gras style parade, a Girvan / Singh’s State Fair hot sauce throwdown, a new egg-centric menu at Corner Table, the always handy City Pages month in review, and Edina gets its own Bryant Lake Bowl-style upscale bowling alley / restaurant in the form of a Pinstripes franchise.

  Ever wondered how to flip a skillet like a pro? @CafeCyan shares tips from yesterday’s MN Cooks event, @RingoRestaurant debuts an Argentinean menu, @StephMarch recommends Safari Express’ mango on a stick @MinnStateFair, @Northern_Brewer offers 10% off wine-making supplies, and @MCFarmersMkt hosts a fall harvest dinner and promises fresh lamb this weekend from Braucher’s Sunshine Harvest Farm.

• Events: Red Stag Research, Grilled Goat, and Big River Slow Food

  Some good events coming down the pike. First: “National Center for Earth-surface Dynamics’s Research at the Red Stag explores science as it is happening, drawing connections between scientific research, culture, environment and everyday life.” The Bedlam Theater is going to grill a goat and serve up PBR tall boys. And Slow Food Minnesota is hosting a benefit at Big River Farms for immigrant farmers and the work of Minnesota Food Association and Slow Food Minnesota.
