@TroutCaviar seeks ideas for “sulfur shelf shrooms” (aka chicken of the woods), @128Cafe and @ScottPampuch team up in St. Paul to make ratatouille and poached eggs, @CakeEaterBakery promotes their new daily commuter special, @S4xton points to a “chef v. chef Twitter battle” (or, more accurately, chef v. Chez Charles has a great post up about Everett’s, a South Minneapolis butcher that — in recent Internet terms, anyway — dwells in the shadow of the much more PR-savvy (and rightfully respected) Clancey’s. In brief: “Why do I love Everett’s so much? Maybe it’s the 1950′s nostalgic feel of the place. Maybe it’s the fact that they dry-age their beef to perfection. Maybe it’s their incredible house-made sausages and bratwurst and other cured meats.”
