The Heavy Table is looking to engage the services of a freelance copy editor to edit stories and news items (sometimes the night before they’re published), offer feedback to the editor and the staff writers, and maintain our style guide. Initially the position will require editing two days a week, eventually increasing to five days a week. Weekly time commitment is approximately 1-5 hours.
Applicants should have prior editing experience and familiarity with WordPress. Interest in the Midwest food and drink scene is an obvious plus.
