A fairly amazing-sounding Better Beer Society brown bag series event at Butcher & the Boar, some revised menus at local restaurants, a local foodie’s epic Mother’s Day feast, tasting notes for Summit Pilsner and Steel Toe’s Provider, the Star Tribune’s Taste 50, and a new urban farm in Minneapolis.
The chefs and bartenders at the Living Room and Prohibition are, to quote a press release, “seizing on the bounty of the fall harvest” to create their new $5 Harvest Moon Happy Hour. The special runs 5-7pm, seven days a week, all fall long. Among the three $5 fall harvest treats on the menu are jerk shrimp and “sushi of the moment”… because nothing says autumn in the Midwest like going out to the old sushi orchard and picking a peck of maguro maki.
