A fairly amazing-sounding Better Beer Society brown bag series event at Butcher & the Boar, some revised menus at local restaurants, a local foodie’s epic Mother’s Day feast, tasting notes for Summit Pilsner and Steel Toe’s Provider, the Star Tribune’s Taste 50, and a new urban farm in Minneapolis.
Gusto Cafe and Wine Bar in Hopkins closed this weekend. Their voicemail says after three and a half years of business, due to economic conditions “we have made the painful decision to close.” Their website indicates: “Gusto became much more than a restaurant. The guests came in and became friends, our employees became family.” Sad news, indeed. [Hat tip to Katie Cannon]
