Local food trucks roll into North Minneapolis to feed residents recovering from the savage storms, a local blogger touts her favorite North Minneapolis restaurants and cafes, Sameh Wadi rolls into the championship of the CHOW.com Innovators bracket contest (vote early and often), and a look at the new Gai Gai Thai stand at the Kingfield and Fulton farmers markets.

“a local blogger touts her favorite North Minneapolis restaurants and cafes”

For some reason I can’t post to her blog, but she mentions JC’s BBQ (asking if it’s still open). JC’s WAS great but didn’t last long…changed into some generic place.

And in talking to one of the residents affected by the tornado at the Red Cross shelter, Fire N Ice is toast. That may have been hyperbole, though…I haven’t seen the damage myself.

Emily’s F&M Cafe should be mentioned in any North Minneapolis restaurant roundup. Good old school diner-ish place.
