A fairly amazing-sounding Better Beer Society brown bag series event at Butcher & the Boar, some revised menus at local restaurants, a local foodie’s epic Mother’s Day feast, tasting notes for Summit Pilsner and Steel Toe’s Provider, the Star Tribune’s Taste 50, and a new urban farm in Minneapolis.
Looks like a good Food and Farm Days at Common Roots this weekend — meet Todd Churchill from Thousand Hills (11am-12:30pm) and taste some free samples of their beef; also meet Brad Glynn (if you’ve already met him, you know he’s a hell of a nice guy) from 12:30-2pm — he’s the co-owner of Lift Bridge Brewing. Samples of Farm Girl Saison will be available, hoorah.

Thought I would mention you can get a $2 pint of Lift Bridge when you order a Thousand Hills burger or beef dish.
