A fairly amazing-sounding Better Beer Society brown bag series event at Butcher & the Boar, some revised menus at local restaurants, a local foodie’s epic Mother’s Day feast, tasting notes for Summit Pilsner and Steel Toe’s Provider, the Star Tribune’s Taste 50, and a new urban farm in Minneapolis.
Five courses plus five Minnesota wines from Alexis Bailly Vineyard will be available at Sanctuary, Thursday, Jan. 21. Nan Bailly will be on site for the dinner, which can be started at any point between 5:30-10pm. Total cost: $45 (plus tip). The meal starts with red peppercorn foie gras torchon with yellow curry paint and braised chestnut crab apple and proceeds apace [view a PDF of menu], so it looks like a damn fine value for the money.
