A fairly amazing-sounding Better Beer Society brown bag series event at Butcher & the Boar, some revised menus at local restaurants, a local foodie’s epic Mother’s Day feast, tasting notes for Summit Pilsner and Steel Toe’s Provider, the Star Tribune’s Taste 50, and a new urban farm in Minneapolis.
Chick-fil-A (located locally at the Coffman Memorial Union on the U of M campus) is giving away a free meal to anyone who walks into any of its locations dressed as a cow. One day only: July 10, the chain’s Cow Appreciation Day. What constitutes “dressed like a cow”? Phone it in with a black-and-white spotted shirt and face paint and drop us a comment whether it works or not. It would be interesting to hear where the line gets drawn.
