A fairly amazing-sounding Better Beer Society brown bag series event at Butcher & the Boar, some revised menus at local restaurants, a local foodie’s epic Mother’s Day feast, tasting notes for Summit Pilsner and Steel Toe’s Provider, the Star Tribune’s Taste 50, and a new urban farm in Minneapolis.
Summit founder Mark Stutrud will be pouring Horizon Red at The Four Firkins on Monday, Apr. 20 at 6pm, Rachel reports that the never-remarked-upon Musashi has become a slightly different place called Zake, a writer for Duluth Dish comments on the good fight of trying to convince the locals to drink wine (something with which we can sympathize), Philip Dorwart gets with the program and switches to a charcoal grill (it ain’t grilling if it’s gas, folks!), and Saturday is the last day of St. Paul’s winter Farmers’ Market.
